Cops among 14 injured in Karachi blast

KARACHI: Fourteen people were injured, including six policemen, in a blast near a police patrolling van in Frontier Colony here on Sunday.

According to police, one of the injured cops is in a critical condition.

They said it appeared the blast took place when explosives strapped to a motor cycle went off. However, they said further investigation into the incident was underway.

All the injured persons were shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

Similar attacks have happened in the past in the metropolis in which dozens of policemen and paramilitary forces were killed and scores others injured.
