Zaeem terms PTI’s allegations baseless

LAHORE: Spokesman Punjab Government Zaeem Qadri on Saturday termed the allegations leveled against the provincial government and Multan administration by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for stampede in its Friday’s Jalsa as baseless.

Addressing a press conference here, Zaeem Qadri said district president of PTI Multan had selected the venue for Jalsa.

He said that Shah Mehmood Qureshi was informed on the stage that the participants of rally were fainting but he (Qureshi) turned a deaf ear to it and continued with his speech.

Mr. Qadri further said a committee tasked to probe the Multan tragedy has been formed, adding it would present its report at the earliest.
