KARACHI: Protesters gathered at 5-Star Chowrangi (roundabout) in North Nazimabad claiming that Police gunned down an innocent man while the law enforcers claim he was killed by robbers.

According to sources, police claimed a man was killed by robbers for resisting during a hold-up in block-H of North Nazimabad. SSP Central Noman Siddiqui claimed police reached the spot after they received reports of firing in the area.

The SSP claimed that three more people had been injured by the robbers and went on to add that three robbers were apprehended after being injured by the police adding that a motorcycle and weapons have been seized from the criminals.

Family and area residents gathered at 5-Star chowrangi along with the deceased factory-worker’s body and demanded action against the policemen involved.

SHO North Nazimabad suspended

According to the SSP, investigation has been initiated into the issue after suspending the SHO North Nazimabad.
