CSP officer mysteriously dies in hostel

LAHORE: An under training female CSP officer, Nabiha Chaudhry mysteriously died in her hostel room of Audit and Accounts Training Institute in Lahore.

Police have declared her death as a ‘suicide’ while her family ruled this out.

Nabiha room was locked from inside and police found a noter and a petrol bottle. Police said the under training officer, according to the note, wanted to contact a person via phone, however, it was unattended.

The writing shows she wanted to threaten the person of committing suicide, police said.

Police have informed the family of Nabiha, resident of Karachi, and have shifted the body for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the mother and sister of Nabiha have ruled out suicide and alleged that CSS Academy was responsible for her death and they would lodge case against it.

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident.

Later, Nabiha’s mother lodged the case bearing number 1143/14 under section 302 in Ghalib Market police station, here. The case was registered against unknown men on charges of setting Nabiha on fire.
