KARACHI: The Awami National Party (ANP) staged a sit-in outside the Chief Minister House to protest the killing of one of its workers in an armed attack on late Monday night.

The ANP worker was killed when unknown gunmen opened fire when he was busy in hoisting party flags along with others comrades in Frontier Colony area of SITE Town.

ANP leader Bashir Jan said that the provincial government had failed in providing protection to his party workers.

He announced that the sit-in would continue till the arrest of the culprits. However, the protest ended after Sindh government assured the ANP that the attackers would be arrested soon.

SHO and DSP of the area were suspended over the killing.
