KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Saturday announced to observe a black day tomorrow across the country to register its protest over the remarks of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah.

Addressing a press conference here, MQM leader Abdul Haseeb Khan maintained that Khursheed Shah’s remarks had drawn widespread anger from the Muslim Ummah.

“Even the Holy book of Qur’an contains the word Mohajir at eight places,” he said.

Abdul Haseeb said all the party workers will wear black arm bands and wave black flags.

Altaf Hussain's appeal

In a separate message, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain urged the traders and shopkeepers to keep their businesses shut on Sunday.
