Governor Sindh accepts MQM ministers’ resignations

KARACHI: Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad has accepted the resignations of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) ministers Rauf Siddiqui and Dr Sagheer Ahmed.

The resignations after being approved by the Governor have now been sent to Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah.

Relations between the MQM and PPP deteriorated after National Assembly Opposition Leader Khrusheed Shah’s statement over the word Mohajir. MQM leaders had tendered their resignations as provincial ministers, advisors and special assistants.

The resignations of provincial advisors Faisal Sabzwari and Adil Siddiqui have already been accepted by Chief Minister Sindh.
