6 security men martyred, 20 terrorists killed in Lower Orakzai

HANGU: Six security personnel embraced martyrdom and twenty terrorists were killed during clashes in Lower Orakzai area.

According to security forces, terrorists armed with heavy weapons attacked Zawan check post in Shirin Dara area of Lower Orakzai and martyred six security men and injured three others.

During the retaliatory action, twenty militants were also killed. It may be mentioned that a security man was martyred by militants on Friday at the same check post.

Security forces have frequently been targeted by militants in the border area of Khyber and Orakzai Agency since operation Khyber-I was launched.
