ATC sends 5 Jundullah activists to prison

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday sentenced five members of proscribed Jundullah to prison for possessing illegal weapons, hand grenades besides taking extortion.

Two accused, Yaseen and Atta ur Rehman, were awarded a 28-year jail term, while Saddam Ali, Rafiqul Islam and Mohammad Nadeem were sentenced to 14 years in prison.

The case was registered against the accused on March 8, 2014 in the Korangi Industrial Area police station.
