LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers staged a sit-in and later filed an application at a police station against one of their senior leaders Abdul Aleem Khan on Thursday after having a brawl with his security guards.

The PTI workers had come for a meeting with Aleem Khan at his office located at Cantt and scuffled with his guards after not being allowed to meet with the PTI leader.

They then staged a sit-in and chanted slogans “go Aleem go” before going to Liberty Police Station to get a case registered against Khan for what they term torture.

A local PTI leader hurled threats to prevent Geo News staff from coverage of the quarrel. The workers said that Aleem Khan’s guards subjected them to torture and vowed to teach a lesion to him.

Another PTI leader Murad Raas tried to pacify the enraged workers but to no avail. However, a spokesman for the Imran Khan led party termed it a fight between two rival groups and denied security guards’ involvement in torture.
