KARACHI: Two rescue officials were injured in police firing in North Karachi near Power House roundabout on Thursday.

According to reports, the policemen had signaled a motorcyclist and opened fire when the rider didn’t stop. The bullets hit two rescue officials instead of the biker.

The injured were taken to a nearby hospital where they are reported to be in stable condition.

Provoked by the indiscriminate firing, enraged passersby subjected the policemen to torture.
