Karachi: One dead, five injured in blast near Korangi Crossing

KARACHI: A man was killed and five others including a woman were injured in a blast apparently targeting police near Korangi Crossing on Tuesday.

Police said that explosive material was planted in a motorcycle. DIG police said that Rapid Response Force of the police department was target of the blast. He, however, said all the personnel remained safe. The police said that nut bolts and ball bearings were used in the bomb.

On the contrary, officials at the Jinnah Hospital, where the dead and injured were shifted, said the deceased lost his life due to a bullet wound.
