COAS cuts short Quetta visit, moves to Peshawar

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has cut short his visit to Quetta where he was attending a passing out parade and is on his way to Peshawar.

According to Director General, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa, the COAS expressed his regrets over the attack in Peshawar.
The DG ISPR in a message on social media said, the army chief was on his way to Peshawar while the operation was being led by the Corps Comander.

In another tweet the DG ISPR confirmed that 3 blocks of the school have been cleared while the clearing the remaining area was in progress.
