RAWALPINDI: Firefighters, after three-hour hectic efforts, brought under control the fire that erupted in a cloth storage facility here on Purana Qila Road on Monday night.

The fire that broke out on the fourth floor of the godown quickly got more intense, as 7 fire tenders were engaged to overcome the raging flames.

The second and third floors of the building were completely destroyed and the clothes worth millions of rupees burnt to ashes.

Buildings located in the close vicinity of the burning storage facility were evacuated after the fire erupted.
