ISLAMABAD: In response to a news item regarding United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki moon’s telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the government’s spokesman on Saturday said that Pakistan respected the international community.

“But the country is passing through extraordinary circumstances which demand extraordinary measures to be taken,” he remarked in a statement issued here.

He said a peaceful Pakistan is in the best interest of the world.
