Execution of convict Ikramul Haq postponed

LAHORE: The execution of convict Ikramul Haq at Kot Lakhpat Jail was delayed early morning on Thursday.

Ikramul Haq had murdered Nayyar Abbas in 2001 and for that offence he was handed a death sentence for Thursday morning, however, reportedly both parties reached a settlement after which the execution was delayed.

According to Haq’s lawyer Ghulam Mustafa, the claimants of the case pardoned Haq after reaching an agreement.
