KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Coordination Committee Incharge, Qamar Mansoor has alleged that Sindh government was involved in extrajudicial killings of party workers, Geo News reported.

Addressing a press conference late on Saturday night, Qamar Mansoor alleged that some police officers were running private teams and after kidnapping the people they were demanding ransom.

The Sindh government was fully supporting these police officers, alleged MQM leader. He warned if action was not taken against these officers, provincial government would be held responsible.

He said MQM Khokhrapar worker Faraz Alam, when produced in the court, showed his torture marks to the judge, however, the judge instead of vetting the medical report, extended the remand of Faraz till January 16.

Qamar Mansoor further said various police officials demanded bribe from Faraz.

He demanded Sindh government that instead of suspending SHO, involved in the killing of Faraz, action should be launched against him.

He also demanded the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Prime Minister, President and Chief of Army Staff to take notice of MQM workers extrajudicial killings.
