Four killed in Karachi violence

KARACHI: At least four people lost their lives in a fresh wave of violence in different parts of the metropolis.

Police said on late Monday night an activist of a political party was gunned down in Orangi Town while an official of Special Duty Unit Abdul Majid was shot dead in Nayabad area of Lyari Town.

When contacted, AIG Security Maksood Ahmed confirmed that the deceased was on his way home from his duty when he was killed.

Two other people were shot dead in Shahbaig Lane and Baghdadi areas of Lyari. The bodies were shifted to a hospital for identification and medico-legal formalities.
