Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) activist was gunned down in Orangi town on Thursday, Geo News reported.

Police said unknown gunmen riding on motorcycle opened fire in Ghaziabad area as a result a man identified as 30-year old Abid son of Shamin died of bullet injuries.

Shamim is said to be MQM worker.

Meanwhile, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has condemned killing of Abid, saying that provincial government of Sindh was not serious in maintaining peace.

He also extended condolence with the family of Abid.
