500 unregistered madrassas shut down in Hyderabad region: DIG

HYDERABAD: DIG Police Hyderabad Sanaullah Abbasi has said that police are against the extra-judicial killings, however, society is accepting it.

Talking to journalists during his visit to CPLC office on Saturday, DIG Sanaullah said masses need peace and tranquility in the society.

He further said, “They have closed down 500 unregistered religious seminaries in various districts of Hyderabad region.” He added that there was no audit report of such madrassas.

To a question, the police officer said providing protection to people was their responsibility.
