KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Thursday denounced what it said the arrests of its workers from various parts of the metropolis.

In a statement issued here, the Coordination Committee of MQM said its 11 workers and a sympathiser were apprehended by authorities from Federl B Area, Baldia Town, Landhi and North Karachi.

“By-elections in NA-246 constituency are round the corner and yet raids were being conducted by officials at the residences of its workers and sympathizers and they are being harassed,” the party said.
