KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday dismissed a petition seeking to defer Saulat Mirza’s execution and reopening the murder case of MD KESC Shahid Hamid.

The petition was filed yesterday by Mirza’s wife and maintained that he was a key witness and his execution would lead to evidence being buried with him. The petition further said that Mirza’s execution would be of benefit to some criminals.

The SHC remarked that the Supreme Court of Pakistan had dismissed an appeal against Saulat Mirza’s execution.
