Stage falls as Punjab education minister distributes prizes

LAHORE: Punjab Education Minister left a ceremony where he was invited as chief guest after a mishap in which some people got injured.

He was distributing prizes among the children after delivering a speech at the Literary Festival when stage collapsed, leaving some people injured.

The collapse happened apparently due to overload caused by presence of more people than the stage could have sustained.

Irritated by the incident and ensuing chaos, the education minister left the ceremony.
