Three murder convicts sent to gallows in different jails of Punjab

LAHORE: Three condemned prisoners were executed in different jails of Punjab this morning.

According to the jail sources, two convicts Tariq alias Tara and Aftab Bahadur were hanged to death in Kot Lakhpat jail of Lahore.

Tariq had murdered a man namely Zahid and Aftab Bahadur had killed a woman and her two children in 1992. However, in the same case, execution of another convict Ghulam Mustafa was stopped after settlement accord was presented.

Another condemned prisoner Hashmat Ali was execution at Central Jail Faisalabad. He was convicted for shooting dead five people in a jirga.
