ISLAMABAD: The opposition parties on Monday staged walk out from the National Assembly over the ongoing power crisis and load shedding in the country.

Rashid Godial, a lawmaker from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, while describing the worst case scenario in the aftermath of load shedding and sweltering heat, said government must figure out its position in case small protests transform into a big rally.
Hasil Bizinjo said people would take to streets before government materialize its claims.

Federal minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Mushahidullah Khan said protests would not improve power situation in the country.

He said had opposition worked at the time of its stint in government there would have been no need for protest.
