MQM cannot hide crimes behind ‘media trial’ excuse: Vawda

KARACHI: Central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Fasial Vawda early on Saturday said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) cannot hide crimes it committed behind the excuse of ‘media trial’ against the party.

In a statement issued here, he said that by not claiming compensation from British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) for airing an anti-MQM report, the party has accepted the truth presented in the documentary.

MQM’s officials have also confessed to their crime by not indulging into judicial battle against the charges against the party, said Vawda.

The PTI leader urged the interior ministry to lodge cases against MQM and declare it a proscribed outfit. He also demanded of the government and higher judiciary to take notice of the allegations against the party.
