PALLEKELE: Pakistan scored 287-8 from their 50 overs after electing to bat in the second one-day international against Sri Lanka in Pallekele on Wednesday.

Skipper Azhar Ali (79), Shoaib Malik (51) and Mohammad Rizwan (52) were the main scorers. Debutant left-arm spinner Sachith Pathirana picked up two wickets.

Pakistan won the first match in Dambulla by six wickets to take the lead in the five-match series.
