LAHORE: Acting Amir, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Liaquat Baloch Sunday stressed that all necessary measures must be taken to make Karachi a model of peace.

Talking to media men at Lahore Railway station, Liaquat Baloch said the Prime Minster should take all the political parties into confidence and also sort out reservations, if any, of the stakeholders.

He rubbished the impression that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was being targeted, saying the operation in Karachi is directed exclusively against criminal elements. “The claims that only one party is being targeted lack substance,” he added.

To a question regarding the educational degree of Reham Khan - the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan - he said controversial issues should not be discussed on Eid.
