Two Lyari ‘gangsters’ killed in police encounter

KARACHI: Police on Friday claimed to have killed two alleged gangsters in Lyari area of the city.

Fida Hussain, a senior police official, said the two gangsters ,affiliated with Uzair Baloch, group were killed in an exchange of fire during a raid in Chakiwara area of Lyari.

The police said the suspects were involved in different crimes including extortion and kidnapping for ransom.

They said arms and a motorcycle were also recovered from the possession of the suspects whose identities were yet to be known.
