Court extends remand of Masoom Shah in corruption case

PESHAWAR: A local Accountability Court on Monday extended the physical remand by 10 days of Masoom Shah – a special adviser to former chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Later, he was handed over to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for further investigation.

According to NAB officials, five kilograms of gold was seized from one of Masoom Shah's secret lockers.

"During the investigation, Masoom Shah told the officials about his assets", NAB officials said.

They further said that investigation was underway and chances are bright for more disclosures.
