RAWALPINDI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Workers leader Naheed Khan has filed a petition in the Anti-Terrorism Court of Rawalpindi seeking the record of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto's murder case.
The court issued notices to the parties and set September 14 as the date for hearing the petition.
Speaking to media after submitting the petition, Naheed Khan said, “record of BB murder case is a public document and it must be given to me.”
Naheed added that it was her legal right to become party in the case after what the driver of former president Asif Ali Zardari attributed to her.
The former PPP leader went on to say that Amin Faheem, Safdar Abbasi and she herself were present in the vehicle of Benazir at the time of her assassination but the prosecution did not included them in the list of witnesses.
“I am awaiting for when the court summons me and I inform the court about the facts,” she maintained.
