LAHORE: Heavy rain in Lahore on Tuesday created difficulties for both sellers and buyers in cattle markets set up at various points in provincial capital in connection with Eidul Azha that falls on Friday.

Buyers and sellers were witnessed standing in pools of rain water as they negotiated the rates for the sacrificial animals.

They were also seen struggling to escape the downpour as they moved here and there to look for dry shelters.

The buyers complained that even the heavy rain failed to make the sellers reduce their profits, as they continued to sell their animals at high rates.

The visitors said the government had made tall claims but failed to make proper arrangements for them at the cattle markets.
