LAHORE: Punjab Governor, Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana on Saturday said the government has initiated many programs to finance the needy students to ensure that talented ones don’t get behind only because they were short in resources.
The newly appointed Vice Chancelor (VC) of Bahauddin Zikaria University, Professor Tahir Ameen, met Rafiq Rajwana in Governor House here.
On the occasion, the Governor Punjab said that he would not tolerate any compromise towards the implementation of merit system.
He also instructed the VC to play his role towards promotion of research through encouraging the students and also asked him to take effective steps to improve the ranking of the university.
