PESHAWAR: Police in the provincial capital launched a joint search operation with the support of security forces and rounded up 40 suspects on Monday.

According to Police sources, the search operation took place in the city’s old Kissa Khwani bazaar, as well as Khyber bazaar, Shoba bazaar and a medicine market.

Multiple motels and hotels were searched with the help of lady police officers.

Those detained are being held at local police stations and further investigation is under way.
