First snowfalls bring down mercury, Met dept forecasts rainfall for Islamabad, Peshawar

GILGIT: The first snowfalls in the mountain ranges and Kalam have announced the coming of winter, while rainfall in the higher plains has caused the mercury to drop considerably.

Snowfall in Diamer, Kalam, Chitral while rainfall in Mirpur Azad Kashmir, Muzzafarabad has brought the warm clothing.

Rainfall in Rajanpur and Gujrat has also made the weather pleasant.

Meanwhile, the meteorological department has forecast rainfall for Peshawar, and Islamabad. Rainfall has also been forecast for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
