LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday said Pakistan is not in a position to afford politics that draws its fuel from protest demonstrations and negative propaganda.

Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) office bearers here, the Chief Minister said those who are hurling all sorts of criticism at projects whose aim is to improve the common man’s condition have nothing to do with the poor people.

He said economic stability, elimination of terrorism and overcoming energy crisis are the prime objectives of the incumbent provincial government.

Shahabaz Sharif claimed that Pakistan has witnessed noticeable progress in two-and-a-half-year rule of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif-led government of PML-N.

He said the improvement in the country’s economy has boosted the confidence of local and foreign investors.
