Woman gives birth to child in Emergency ward toilet at Civil Hospital

KARACHI: A woman gave birth to her child in the toilet of the Civil Hospital Karachi after she was refused admission in the hospital’s gynecology ward on Wednesday.

According to hospital sources, the woman had been present at the hospital’s emergency ward since morning, but wasn’t granted admission by the gynecological ward doctors. After waiting for hours the woman then gave birth to her baby in the Emergency ward toilet.

The Medical Superintendent of the Civil Hospital told journalists that it is possible such an incident took place at the hospital but added that it was not brought to the MS’s knowledge.
