35 Pakistanis linked to political personalities own property in Dubai

Geo News obtains list submitted by FIA to Supreme Court; List includes names of 35 individuals linked to key Pakistani political personalities

KARACHI: At least 35 Pakistani nationals linked to key political personalities own property in Dubai, a report submitted to the Supreme Court by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has revealed.

Geo News has obtained the initial report submitted to the court by FIA in the foreign assets and bank accounts case.

The individuals mentioned in the list linked to political personalities include Akbar Khan, Aleema Khan, Azra Nasreen, Rizwana Ameen, Safina Khar, Mumtaz Muslim, Ayesha Anwar Baig, Ashok Chawla, and Hasan Talpur.

The list also includes the names of police officer Sohail Tajik, late General (retd) Iftikhar Khan, as well as retired officers from the foreign office and bureaucracy.

When contacted, a majority of the individuals mentioned in the list said they did not own these properties. Some said that their elders owned these properties, that they had already been sold or declared, and that they were now being needlessly bothered.

Some individuals claimed they were wrongly included in the list, and that it was causing them troubles.

Some claimed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government could not issue such a list because such an act would negatively impact investment in the UAE.

This list shown below was made available to Geo News. The complete identification of individuals is not being presented. The complete identity of these people would be revealed after the list stands fully authenticated.
