Iran's foreign minister says will continue missile attacks for as long as necessary
Iran's foreign minister said his country was prepared to continue attacks for as long as necessary and ruled out talks after President Donald Trump said the war with Iran would be over "very soon".
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told US broadcaster PBS News that his country was prepared to continue missile attacks and that negotiations with the United States were no longer on the agenda.

Australia to send missiles to UAE, deploy military surveillance aircraft
Australia will deploy a military surveillance aircraft to the Middle East and send missiles to the United Arab Emirates, but will not put troops on the ground in Iran, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said.
Australia's military support would help the Gulf countries defend themselves against unprovoked attacks from Iran, Albanese said, stressing Australia was "not a protagonist".
"Our involvement is purely defensive," Albanese told reporters. "And it's in defence of Australians who are in the region as well as in defence of our friends in the United Arab Emirates."
Albanese said Australia would deploy one of its Boeing-manufactured E-7A Wedgetail airborne early warning and control system aircraft for an initial four weeks to protect the airspace above the Gulf countries.

Seoul says it cannot stop US weapons redeployment to Middle East
South Korea cannot stop US forces in Korea from redeploying some weapons, President Lee Jae Myung said on Tuesday, after reports that some US Patriot missile defence systems were being sent to the conflict in the Middle East.
"It appears that there is controversy recently over US Forces in Korea shipping some weapons, such as artillery batteries and air-defence weapons, out of the country," Lee said in a cabinet meeting, noting while Seoul had expressed opposition it was not in a position to make demands.
Lee also said the removal of some US weapons from the country "does not hinder deterrence strategy towards North Korea," noting South Korea's defence spending and conventional capabilities far exceeded the equivalent in North Korea.

Iran fires 2,000 drones, 500 missiles toward US bases in Arab countries: report
Iran has launched around 2,000 drones and 500 missiles toward Arab countries amid the escalating regional conflict, The New York Times reported.
According to the report, the intensity of Iranian attacks has not decreased despite perceptions that the country may be running low on missiles.
The newspaper also noted that Israel has not provided detailed information about its strikes on Iran, making it difficult to fully assess the scale of the ongoing attacks.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had fired 10 “Khyber-Shikan” missiles toward Tel Aviv.

Iran Guards vow to decide war’s end, threaten regional oil export halt
Iran's Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) said they would decide the end of the war and that Tehran would not allow "one litre of oil" to be exported from the region if US and Israeli attacks continue, state media reported on Tuesday, citing IRGC's spokesperson.
“It is we who will determine the end of the war,” the IRGC says in a statement.
“The equations and future status of the region are now in the hands of our armed forces; American forces will not end the war,” the statement adds.
The statement followed US President Donald Trump predicting that the war in the Middle East could be over soon, even as Iran's hardliners staged a show of loyalty to new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.

Trump ‘disappointed’ at Mojtaba Khamenei’s ascent as supreme leader
US President Donald Trump said on Monday he was "disappointed" that Iran named Mojtaba Khamenei to succeed his slain father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as the supreme leader of the country.
"We think it's going to lead to just more of the same problem for the country," Trump told reporters at a press conference in Florida.
When asked whether the new leader had a target on his back, Trump said it would be "inappropriate" to say whether or not he does.

US waiving certain oil-related sanctions to ensure supply, says Trump
President Donald Trump said on Monday that the United States is waiving certain oil-related sanctions to ensure an adequate oil supply and lower prices.
At a news conference at his Doral golf club, Trump said oil prices have not spiked as much as he had feared.
Trump said the United States is waiving certain oil-related sanctions to cut prices.
"We have sanctions on some countries. We're going to take those sanctions off till the Strait (of Hormuz) is up," Trump said.
He was not specific, but the United States last week issued a temporary, 30-day waiver to allow for the sale of Russian oil currently stranded at sea to India to alleviate pressure on the global oil market.
