No sign of Pakistan planning nuclear strike during standoff, says Indian foreign secretary

    By: Web Desk

India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said there was no indication that Pakistan had intended to launch a nuclear strike during the recent military standoff between the two countries.

He made these remarks while briefing members of the Indian Parliament’s Standing Committee on External Affairs in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack, Indian media reported.

According to media reports, Misri made it clear that the tensions remained in the domain of conventional attacks. He reiterated the government's stand that the decision to stop military actions was taken at a bilateral level.

Misri further claimed the United States played no role in the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India, rejecting US President Donald Trump’s repeated claims of brokering peace and preventing a nuclear conflict.

When asked whether New Delhi had any influence over Trump’s involvement, Misri said, “He certainly is not seeking my approval,” Indian media reported.

Pakistan, India agree to pull back troops days after ceasefire, say officials

    By: Azaz Syed

Pakistan and India have reached a mutual understanding to reposition their armed forces back to peacetime deployments along the Line of Control (LoC) and international border by May 30, according to senior officials familiar with the development.

Military leadership from both countries, particularly the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs), are actively coordinating the phased pullback, sources told Geo News on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter.

The move is seen as a critical next step following the ceasefire that has largely held since hostilities escalated earlier this month. Officials described the de-escalation as a “continuation of confidence-building measures,” marking a potential thaw after weeks of heightened military alert.

“The return to normal military positions is part of the second phase of the ceasefire framework,” a senior government source said, adding that the decision was facilitated by diplomatic efforts from the United States and other concerned nations.

    By: Web Desk

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has strongly condemned Indian aggression, stating that the entire Pakistani nation and parliament are united in rejecting New Delhi’s baseless allegations.

Speaking on the National Assembly floor, the religio-political leader said India used the Pahalgam incident as a pretext to accuse Pakistan in a bid to cover its own security failures.

Paying tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces, he said: “The way our military defended the nation and responded to Indian aggression will be remembered in history.”

The JUI-F leader called for maintaining national unity in the face of external threats and warned that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi may resort to similar actions again for political face-saving.

Govt lauds opposition for showcasing national unity amid Indian aggression

    By: APP

Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar has lauded the opposition for showcasing national unity during the conflict with India, and stated that Pakistan’s political leadership stands together in defense of the country’s sovereignty.

Responding to Leader of the Opposition Shibli Faraz’s objection over the exclusion of opposition members from a high-level delegation tasked with presenting Pakistan’s case for peace on recent Indian aggression to the international community, Tarar expressed gratitude for the opposition’s constructive approach during Indian aggression.

“Both the houses, National Assembly and Senate have sent a strong, unified message — the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces and always ready to face any external threat with unity,” Tarar told the Senate.

“We’ve already proposed that a unified parliamentary delegation be formed. When we present ourselves as one, the message we send to the world is far more powerful,” he added.
