KARACHI: To the Rangers personnel guarding polling stations during the NA-245 and PS-115 by-polls their chief sent them a unique thank you note—wrapped on a box of Biryani.
The paramilitary troops were pleasantly surprised when their lunch boxes arrived. Attached on each white plastic box was a note signed by DG Rangers Sindh Maj Gen Bilal. “For your extraordinary performance at work,” it read. “Shabash” the Urdu equivalent of “Bravo” it said.
The tough men with guns and bullet proof jackets cracked into smiles as they opened these Biryani boxes packed with so much love.
Rangers personnel have been assigned guard duties at over 200 polling stations where by-polls are underway.
Earlier, DG Rangers Sindh visited a polling station set up at Islamia College and reviewed security arrangements there.
