LONDON: A meeting presided by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder was held in London to review MQM Pakistan’s decision to expel four party leaders including its convener Nadeem Nusrat from the Rabita Committee.

The meeting, held at the International Secretariat in London, reviewed MQM Pakistan’s recent decision to expel four party workers including London-based party convener Nadeem Nusrat from the Rabita Committee.

The MQM Founder said he would notify ‘loyal’ workers about the next plan of action via social media, sources told Geo News.

MQM Pakistan decided to remove Nadeem Nusrat and Wasay Jalil from the Rabita Committee on Tuesday. A key meeting of MQM Pakistan Rabita Committee took place at Farooq Sattar’s residence in Karachi where it was decided that the membership of the leaders would also be revoked for violating party policy.

According to the party’s statement, Qasim Ali and Mustafa Azizabadi would also be removed from the Rabita Committee.

Nadeem Nusrat had said in a statement on Tuesday that the party was nothing without the founder.

“The MQM founder gave recognition to Muhajirs,” he had said in an e-mail sent out to the media.

Farooq Sattar had assumed charge of MQM Pakistan last month and said that the party will run its affairs from Pakistan, without taking orders from London or the founder.
