KARACHI: The largest Information Technology exhibition ITCN started at Karachi Expo Centre on Tuesday.

About 135 companies have set up stalls at ITCN Asia. The companies are from Britain, UAE, China, Germany, Taiwan, Singapore and others.

Ismail Shah, Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on the occasion said that more foreign direct investment in the IT sector was expected in the next year.

He said that soon a new SIM tax will be imposed on the consumer, adding that it will improve value and worth of SIMs.

Exhibitors said that the exhibition provided a platform for products to be displayed and also to ensure access to consumers.
