ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) on Friday met with Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry at the Foreign Office, a day after Indian violation at the Line of Control (LoC) martyred two Pakistani soldiers.

According to sources, the DGMO gave a detailed briefing to the Foreign Secretary of the LoC’s situation.

Following the escalation of conflict and violation of the LoC by the Indian side, Pakistan enhanced its diplomatic efforts to bring the Indian aggression to the world’s attention.

Earlier today, the Foreign Office briefed envoys from P5 states of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on the situation at the LoC and Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK).

Pakistan's UN Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi on Friday said that Pakistan was exercising restraint but if India continues the provocations that it has been engaged in then the country was ready to respond with all the capabilities in its command.

Pakistan's UN envoy asked the president of the United Nations Security Council to informally brief the body on the country's escalating tension with neighbouring India and said she will discuss it with UN chief Ban Ki-moon on Friday.
