KARACHI: A student who was detained by police in the wee hours of Saturday from Pak Colony, Old Golimar has been released.
Law enforcement agencies on Friday night conducted a search operation in the area where they detained two suspects identified as Salman and Nawaz and shifted them to an undisclosed location.
Salman's family staged a protest in the area claiming that their son was a student of class nine.
"He is hardly 13 or 14. He goes to school. How can they take him away?" his sister said.
Law enforcement agencies early Saturday morning rounded up five suspects during search operations in different neighbourhoods of Karachi.
Rangers conducted a search operation in Karachi's Azizabad area, where from three suspects were arrested. There were said to be affiliated with a political party.
