KARACHI: MQM-Pakistan chief Dr Farooq Sattar put the entire responsibility of friction between MQM factions displayed at Yadagar-e-Shuhada on MQM-London.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Sattar said that the disturbance was a conspiracy to divide the mandate of MQM-Pakistan.

Giving his reaction on Dr Sattar`s statement, MQM-London`s convener Nadeem Nusrat said that the allegations leveled against his party was frivolous, baseless and unfounded.

“Our detractors blame us for every untoward incident,” said Nusrat.

Situation became tense when both MQM-Pakistan and London factions’ protesters came face to face at Yadagar-e-Shuhada in Azizabad, Karachi.

Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar along with a rally reached Yadgar-e-Shuhda hours after his release from jail. The rally members comprised mostly MQM Pakistan supporters and workers.

After a while, members of the MQM London also reached the venue and started chanting pro-MQM founder slogans.
