Two arrested for involvement in hundi in Lahore

They were arrested during raids by Federal Investigation Agency

LAHORE: Two persons were arrested in Lahore for their involvement in hundi business.

According to officials of the Federal Investigation Agency, they conducted a raid in a plaza on Queen's Road in the city.

The FIA team arrested Tanveer and Iqbal Hussain in raids at two different offices.

In the first one, they arrested Tanveer and found Rs0.48 million in cash, along with receipts of hundi transactions and chequebooks. In the second raid, Hussain was arrested and Rs0.411 million along with hundi receipts and other documents.

Separate cases have been registered against the two accused.

Hundi is the illegal transfer of money from one person to another.
