An inquiry against him is underway for purchasing aircrafts at exorbitant prices

ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday put the name of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) CEO Bernd Hildenbrand’s name on the Exit Control List.

According to sources, an inquiry against him is underway for purchasing aircrafts at exorbitant prices from a Sri Lankan airline.

It is alleged that PIA lost several million dollars as a result of the deal.

A notification —issued by Deputy Director FIA Admin Lahore Khawaja Hammad ur Rehman—in this regard has been posted on all the major airports that Hildenbrand should not be allowed to depart from the country.
