Owner gets her dog lost after Tsunami

TOKYO: A dog rescued from the roof of a house which was swept out to sea by the Japanese tsunami has been reunited with her owner.

The dog, aged 2 years, survived for 3 weeks on the house, which was drifting nearly 2km from the shore off Kesennuma, in the Miyagi prefecture.

Rescue guards flying over the area hunting for survivors spotted the dog on the roof of the house last Friday.
