Three people die in various accidents in Karachi

KARACHI: At least three people died — one each in a firing, freak, and rain-related incident — Sunday night here in various areas of the city.

A man on a motorcycle was shot dead by unidentified assailants last night in Karachi's Garden area, rescue authorities said.

Another man was electrocuted to death near Jubilee Furniture Market. A third person was killed — and two alongside him wounded — when the garment factory lift they were inside crashed onto the ground near Orangi Town's Zia Morr.

A girl was injured in a traffic accident late last Sunday night when a speeding car drifted onto the sidewalk on Shahrah-e-Faisal. She was subsequently moved to a local hospital.
